Privacy notice
This notice is for railroad-cancer.com, which is run by Ironwood Intake Group Inc. at One South Wacker Drive, Suite 2200, Chicago, IL 60606, United States. It covers the data we collect, the purpose, who receives it, and the steps for using your privacy rights.
- Data we collect
- When you fill out the claim form, you provide your name, phone number, the railroad that employed you, and the cancer type. When you call, we note your phone number and the call's time and length. We may record a call; if we do, we save that recording. Each time you visit, the server logs capture your IP address, browser type, which pages you viewed, and the time of access.
- Our reasons for collecting it
- We use it to send your request to a law firm that checks railroad cancer claims, to run and protect the site, and to count calls and requests.
- Who gets your details?
- The details from your request go to law firms that advertise here and work on FELA claims. Your information is handled for us by companies that host the site, route calls, and save messages. We do not sell lists of the people who visit.
- Health data
- The cancer type you share counts as health information. We treat it as if HIPAA applied: we request only the details a claim review calls for, we keep it encrypted, and it is never placed in a web address or in the site's statistics.
- Tracking and cookies
- No cookies are placed by this site, and no scripts from other parties are loaded. The setting you choose on the home page is the only thing your browser saves, and it stays on your own device.
- Selling or sharing under state law
- Under California law, forwarding your request to a law firm may count as selling or sharing personal information. To opt out, go to the Do Not Sell or Share page.
- Your privacy rights
- If you live in California (CCPA and CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or Texas, you can ask what information we keep about you. You can also ask us to correct it or delete it, say no to sale, sharing and targeted advertising, and appeal if we refuse. Send your request to support@railroad-cancer.com. We check your identity by comparing the name and phone number you provided, and we reply within the deadline that your state's law requires. The way we treat you never depends on whether you use a right.
- Attorney Advertising
- Railroad Cancer isn't a law firm. No attorney-client relationship comes from sending the form.
